FraserHacks is Mississauga's largest high school hackathon organized entirely by students at John Fraser Secondary School. More than 100 students from all of Peel Region will be coming together for a full 10 hours of friendly hacking, enthusiastic learning, and delicious food.

What is FraserHacks?

FraserHacks is a hackathon—an innovation marathon where students come together to work on groundbreaking projects. Team up with up to 3 of your friends and create anything you can dream of!

Do I need to know how to code to participate?

FraserHacks welcomes people of all coding backgrounds—even if that means none at all! We will have a variety of workshops and mentors at the event to help you write your first line of code.

What kind of workshops and activities will be hosted?

We’re hosting a variety of workshops from coding basics to working with artificial intelligence. In addition, we will have a ton of fun activities planned for you such as an esports tournament, cup stacking, and more! FraserHacks is much more than just a hackathon—we'll make sure that it’s an event you’ll never forget.

What should I bring to the event?

Laptops, chargers, and a student card or other form of ID are required for the event. But feel free to bring whatever else makes you comfortable!

What if I’m not a high school student?

You can still participate! We’d love to have you as a mentor! You can message us here or on any of our social media platforms. We also have a Discord server here.

Is there a code of conduct?

Yes. Please follow all school rules and be respectful to all participants. Feel free to read our code of conduct here.

What’s the cost to attend?

Absolutely nothing! There is no cost to attend FraserHacks thanks to the generous contributions from our sponsors.

Who is eligible to participate?

Students from all of Peel Region are encouraged to apply to FraserHacks!

How many people will be at the event?

We're expecting over 100 students to come together and work on their dream project.

Will there be hardware available?

We are not offering hardware at this event, but feel free to bring your own!

What is the situation for supervision?

Attendees will need to have a teacher supervisor from their school accompany them. If teachers are interested in supervising, please contact for more details.
